Cheltenham
Cheltenham VS Brighton at Whaddon Road
4 February 2006
Venue: Whaddon Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom
Mode of transport: Got the train thanks to the GBRA getting a train to Victoria, then the tube to Paddington, then a train stright to Swindon then changed for a train to Cheltenham Spa I went back pretty much the same way.
Pre match pub: The Cat and Fish near the ground, with Ashley Bradley and others there.
ISF members present at game: All members of the ISF were present with John Hewitt as a schoolboy Ashley Bradley as himself, and me experimenting being a lesbian with blonde hair and a fetching denim skirt.
Review of Cheltenham: Most locals seemed friendly and helpful, surprisingly the pub where I changed into my fancy dress outfit, the locals admired it and did not come out with the homophobic nonsense you would get else where. The town overall seemed a fine spa town similar to Tunbridge Wells 8/10
Review of Cheltenhams ground: Not bad for a little ground that has been done up a fair bit the last few years though not exactly Wembley 6/10
Review of food: Did not really try the food,
Price: Was cheaper than Withdean but a bit much for a game of not much meaning
Friendlyness of locals: The locals were very friendly indeed as mentioned above 8/10
Overall 8/10 Not a bad place for a away game with a few reasonable boozers, the locals were friendly and was a fine sunny day to enjoy some football and the end of season party.

2nd May 2007
Been a busy and mixed week. I had a fun evening in Lewes on Friday to watch Andy Rumbles REMF team beat the Croy*on scum on penaltys. Was great having drinks in the terraces and seeing some old and new faces. Well done to everyone organising the evening. Earlier in the afternoon I did visit Anne of Cleves house in Lewes a fine building with a museum a review on the museum will come up soon. Once I am less busy.
Only problem was I stayed so long that I missed the last train from Lewes to Gatwick, so had to go with friends to catch a train to Brighton, but luckily a good samaritian came along and let me stay round his house in BN2 for the night. The next day I promised to the Brewery Tap faithful that I would attend Cheltenham in a mystery outfit, but sadly due to unforeseen circumstances is looking unlikely unless a kind soul offers a ticket and that I can get transport from Gatwick area to Cheltenham. Otherwise would love to go and raise money for the Martlets Hospice. Plus not skint. Following the defeat to Oldham. I walked all the way to the Brewery Tap, where I repayed Andy Rumble the beers he got me when I was at my lowest ebb in mid 2005, on that legendary night at The Prodigal with me admiring Doncaster girls.
Meanwhile have found out more suggestions for housing assocations including one that looks promising with Southdown housing, and have applied for housing in Crawley DOWN, Haywards Heath and Hove. Hopefully something has got to pop up soon to get me out of this depressing hole. Meanwhile it seems Yeeeaaahhh, has taken over from LOL, as the word to identify me with, got to seriously snap out of it.

Strike Factory/ The Bun 1997 Style
26th April 2007
You all may be wandering why the hell has the site become The Bun. But fear not Strike Factory will be back in a few days in a bigger and better way. It is only a way of commerating the Goldstone for a few days to mark the tenth anniversary of Albion sadly leaving the Goldstone. I decided the way to do it was reverting to Strike Factorys predcessor from the mid 90's The Bun. Which was a comical newsletter done on the legendary BBC retro computers produced and printed for about 7 or 8 classmates at my old school in Burgess Hill. Though it was not a website, but have tried to get it as close to the old Bun newsletter as possible. Plus more fitting this entry has been done in Mid Sussex (albeit H.Heath not B.Hill). But doing this amazing to think it has gone from a small Burgess Hill class school letter to a large media website attracting about 200 a month from all over Sussex and even as far as Russia and Gambia.
By the way 10 years ago I was in Year 6 at my school which is now a Citizens Advice Bareau for the smart citizens of Burgess Hill I was then aged 11, for my sins I supported Liverpool. But I was starting to see the light with me watching the scores on BBC 1 of the Albion. I do recall the Albion staying up thankfully, though I then went through a bad bout of Chicken pox until the end of May that nearly saw me end up in the A and E of Crawley Hospital. But I survived and am now a 21 year old Sussex Student at Haywards Heath College. Amazing to think its now 10 years since that Storer goal and that I have gone from a boy to a man, seems quick.
Meanwhile will be at Lewes for the REMF game and will be visiting Anne of Cleves house in Lewes. If anyone wants to come.
