Tennis thoughts: Wimbledon women!

Last two weeks been hooked on the tennis and planning to get a subcription to watch tennis online after Wimbledon! :) The girl I tipped last year to look out for at the US Open Angelique Kerber has made her second grand slam semi final at Wimbledon after a classic Quarter Final against fellow German Sabine Lisicki (the crowd darling after recovering from injurys to make Wimbledon semi finals last year non seeded) brought back memories of a few other Wimbledon all German clashes eg Becker-Stich 91 and a first round match between Kiefer and Haas years ago I can vaquely recall lol! One player Strike Towers has been impressed with esp is Tamira Paszek who seems a bit like Pironkova plays well on grass but struggles on other surfaces (possibly needs a stronger serve and to be more confident at the net and would be hard to beat!), she has managed two suscessive Wimbledon Quarter Finals including winning this years Eastbourne unseeded against a Miss A Kerber who had 5 championship points, sadly Paszek is out after losing to the grunter Viktoria Azarenka (who wore quite fetching 90s style cycle leggings) though 2nd set nearly took it to final set via tiebreak! Can she push on after Wimbledon? We will have to wait and see!

Tomorrows semi finals sees the legendary Serena Williams (who put out the reigning champion Petra Kvitova in stright sets!) take on Azarenka whilst the other semi final will produce a virgin grand slam finalist out of World No.3 Agnieszka Radwanska or Kerber!  On paper it looks like the winner out of Serena of Viki will go into the final as the fave but with such an open draw you never know!   Whats your thoughts and suggestions people?
