Last decade notable highlights for Mr Ball
(2000) Not a lot other than I am at school!
(2001) Witnessed September 11th attacks on TV, first heard about attack whilst at school though thought our English teacher was joking at first! Brighton and Hove Albion win their league and get promoted! Roger Federer is born beating my childhood hero Pete Sampras marking the end of an era (though he won the US Open one last time a year later) for one great and the birth of another in tennis!
(2002) Left the legendary Abbotsford School in Burgess Hill after nine years of education, and started studying business admin at Crawley College, I got my first job at Sports Soccer! Brighton and Hove Albion gain yet another promotion winning Division 2!
(2003) England lift the Rugby Union World Cup, Brighton are sadly relegated, Sussex CCC lifted their first County Championship! I left home in difficult circumstances at the age of 17. I also attend Wimbledon and Eastbourne tennis championships for the first time, and witness Roger Federer begin his dominance winning first Wimbledon as well as Navratilova win her last Wimbledon title! I gain first youth political experience by joining Crawley Youth Council and West Sussex Youth Parliament!
(2004) I left college with a Diploma in Business Admin. It begins a long search for work. I also became Youth MP for West Sussex for a year, I witness Brighton gaining promotion through play offs and at Millenium Stadium in Cardiff (going on about them too much I know now haha).
(2005) My political career comes to an end with me stepping down as Youth MP and Youth Councillor, to focus on other projects! I try getting back to work by gaining work experience at the Citizens Advice Bureau, I launch the legendary Strike Factory blog!
(2006) Brighton and Hove Albion are relegated from the Championship! Sussex CCC manage to win both the County Championship and the Knockout Trophy! After my work experience does not work out and bring work, I decided to return to college at Central Sussex Haywards Heath studying history and sociology for two years!
(2007) I begin two years as a part time reporter for Rivals.net, Sussex CCC win the County Championship again!
(2008) I finish studying at Haywards Heath, and begin looking at various career options!
(2009) I become a victim of the recession when my part time internet reporting job ends! I nearly returned to college but eventually decide against it, but decide to wait until I moved to new flat, with the move being delayed due to work and not finding out until the new year if it will go ahead!
Again happy new year all readers and fans and lets hope 2010 is a lot better!
